honoring juneteenth: building fashion for liberation

Infographic explaining what Juneteenth is and when it is celebrated.

juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, and a continued pursuit of justice. while it marks the end of slavery in the united states, it also reminds us how much further we still have to go.

juneteenth hits close to home for us at bonnee. two of our three co-founders identify as black women—and this mission is deeply personal.

we didn’t just want to build another fashion app. we wanted to create a platform rooted in values:
✨ accessibility
✨ sustainability
✨ ownership
✨ freedom of expression

we believe true freedom includes the ability to express your identity without financial or environmental harm. we believe fashion should be for everyone—not just those who can afford to keep up with trends. and we believe in reclaiming joy, creativity, and community.

on this juneteenth, we celebrate black joy, black brilliance, and the power of building something new.

we honor those who came before us—and we design for those still rising.

fashion can be revolutionary. and with bonnee, we’re swapping in something better.

happy juneteenth.
